Prom Hairstyles - Your Prom Medium Hairstyle

If you are intend to keep a long hairstyle and in the midst of maintain a long hairstyle, and now at the medium length, or you are all this while maintain a medium hairstyle. Then this is perfect for you. From the straight and limp to the thick and naturally curly, you can be sure that there is a medium hairstyle to suit your unique tastes and hair type.

The popularity of the medium length hair style has never waned. In fact, it remains extremely popular today. Certainly, most hairstyles that you see can be considered medium hair styles. Just think about the textured bob or the layered hair cut. Most of these styles look their best at a medium length.

If you ask me? There are a lot more reasons why people choose the medium hairstyle over other types of styles. Firstly, medium hairstyle is easier and quicker to style than longer hair and it affords more versatility than shorter styles. No matter whether you wear it up or down, the medium hairstyle offers a great deal of variety to the wearer. Here are just a few ideas:

Quick and Casual.

No matter if your medium length hairstyle is straight or curly, you can whip it up in a flash to create a simple, casual updo at a moment's notice. Simply pull your medium hair style up into a bun, French twist or ponytail, allowing a few sprigs to escape here and there, and you're done. You can also practice variations of the ponytail and add interest to your medium hair style by changing the amount of hair that you pull through your scrunchie.

Funky and textured.

Probably the most popular medium hairstyles of today feature a lot of textured, creative cutting techniques. By using a combination of scissors and razor, your stylist can turn your medium hairstyle into a fashion statement complete with wispy layers and interesting movement.

Cute and curled.

This medium hairstyle is extremely easy to accomplish if you have natural curl or a perm adding texture to your medium hairstyle. If not, you can easily add interest to your medium hairstyle with hot rollers, tube rollers or a curling iron. Simply, roll your medium hairstyle, spritz it a little, take it down, run your fingers through your medium length hair style, spray and go.

Captivating color.

The medium hairstyle is perhaps the perfect length of hair in which to try funky and fresh color techniques. From chunky highlights to ink-dipped tips, make your medium hair style stand out from the rest with interesting color.

Now you can understand why there are numerous things that you can do to make your medium hairstyle stand out among your peers. While others are stuck pulling their long tresses up or styling their short locks the same old way, you can quickly change your medium hair style to reflect your mood or the occasion. And the beauty of the medium hairstyle is that almost everything you do will be quick and easy.

Getting a perfect Sedu hairstyle isn't a hit and miss affair. It is not necessary only salon can get a perfect Sedu style. Of course, to get the very best results, there are lots of tips and tricks that hairstylists use.

Even then, you are still able to get salon quality Sedu hair at home, provided you need to know the following tricks.
  • Any dirt or grease in the hair will be 'baked' into it by the heat of the iron – and it will cause damage to the hair cuticle, so wash your hair before you start any hair do.
  • If you use hairspray, buy a good brand. The better products hold hair without it being crunchy and 'set' and will hold your hair until you choose to brush it out!
  • Applying serum to wet hair prior to drying, or to dry hair after styling doesn't just give a great shine. It helps to lock moisture into your hair and improves condition
  • A straightening iron can smooth the cuticles back down again and let them reflect light to give a lovely shine and a rejuvenated color!

Hair washing tips
  • Massage your hair gently – don't scrub at it. Wet hair is fragile and can break easily
  • Rinse the shampoo out with hot water. This will open up the hair cuticle and allow the conditioner to penetrate well
  • Use a 'product build-up' remover shampoo once every few washes. This will rid the hair of excess product which can dull the hair over time

Conditioning tips

  • Always condition your hair after washing
  • Before you apply your conditioner, squeeze as much water out of your hair as possible. If you don't do this, the conditioner will be diluted in your hair and won't be as effective
  • Only apply conditioner to your hair from ear level down. This is to prevent a build-up of product in your crown area which will loose you volume in your finished style
  • Once your conditioner has been rinsed out, give your hair another final rinse with cool water – or cold, if you can bear it! This helps to close the hair cuticle and lock moisture in
  • Always use a wide-toothed comb on hair before blow drying. Don't ever brush it as this can easily cause damage
Lastly, make sure you got your hair cut regularly. Know what you want. Decide what length and shape you want before you talk to your hairstylist.

Prom Hairstyles - Long Layers Style

If you have a long hairstyle and thinking of changing, and yet is quite reluctant to cut short. Then you can consider long layer hairstyles. This kind of hairstyle is suitable for those who love the look of long, Gisele-like hair, but want volume and versatility.

Before you start your haircut, you must inform your hairstylist that layers should start at about an inch below chin length. If it's too short and you'll end up with "The Rachel." Layer the back as well so you get movement and a nice curve throughout the hair.

That's it, you are now with this new long layers new look. But what next? Yes, the maintenance. In order to avoid straggly ends, get a trim every 3 months and don't over-wash your hair. Do you know that? Long layers actually look better a few days after washing.

How to Choose Your Prom Hairstyles

Choosing Hair Styles is great fun, whether you want a casual new look for every day, or a glamorous creation for your prom, wedding or a special occasion.

An easy approach is to check out all the new looks in fashion magazines and on the internet, until you see something you absolutely love. Discuss your choice with your hairdresser, and decide whether the style will suit your face, and whether it will be possible to achieve it easily with your hairs natural texture.

Its important not to fight with nature too much, or you'll end up with a high maintenance job, which never looks good unless you spend hours every day fixing it, and lots of money on hair care products. Find something which works with your hairs own natural texture and color. Be yourself, rather than trying to look like someone else, no matter how gorgeous and glamorous they are.

If you want to take a more scientific approach, you'll find plenty of guides on the internet. There are techniques to help you determine the broad category of your face shape, how to accentuate your best facial features, and how to create flattering illusions of well-balanced perfection.

Whether you want sexy, glamorous look, or a beautiful practical idea for everyday, choose Hair Styles which are right for your natural features.
